Fmr. UMKC student charged with stalking instructor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Prosecutors have charged a former University of Missouri Kansas City student with cyber stalking a university instructor.

Court documents allege Kenna Haight, 27, sent over 100 threatening emails to the instructor who has remained unidentified. Haight's emails at times said she wanted to killed and sexually assault the female instructor. Haight started sending the emails in September 2012.

According to court documents Haight began sending the because she was upset the instructor changed a class syllabus, saying the change caused her to be sexually assaulted.

In one of the emails, Haight wrote in part, "Sleep with one eye open, if I decide I need revenge just in case I change my mind you will be dead on the 1st anniversary of the day I was raped because of you."

In other emails Haight lashed out using graphic details of what she would like to have done to the instructor.

"If I had known I would have killed you while I was your student and I had means, motive and opportunity!" she wrote.

In another email, she said, "If I had a penis I would put a gun to your head and rape you and make you fear for your life."

The University of Missouri Kansas City has declined comment.

Haight is in federal custody in Suffolk, Va., where she was arrested and is being held without bond.
