KU’s Wiggins, WSU’s Van Vleet named Naismith semi-finalists

LOS ANGELES — KU freshman Andrew Wiggins and Wichita State sophomore Fred Van Vleet are semi-finalists for the Naismith Award. Wiggins leads Kansas in scoring at 16.3 points per game. VanVleet runs the show for the undefeated and second-ranked Shockers.

Wiggins is one of three freshmen on the list of 10 finalists. The Naismith Award, given to the best college basketball player in the country, will be presented to one of four finalists on April 4 in Atlanta.
