KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- When you shell out money for a piece of furniture, obviously you expect to be able to use it. That's why a young mom was upset when she opened the box her furniture came in, only to discover it was busted. Even more upsetting, the store refused to take it back.     Gaines shouldn’t get any credit for doing the right thing because they only made an exception after they knew the story was going public. I wouldn’t recommend their store anyway because I have been in there and all the furniture looks really cheap and made that way, too. Believe me, you would be much better off going to a better store and paying more.
