Fire at the John Deere plant in Higginsville

HIGGINSVILLE, Mo. — A well-known business landmark in Higginsville was destroyed by fire late Thursday night.

Flames lit up the John Deere dealership and the damage to the structure and contents is expected to be significant, possibly a total loss.

The fire was reported just before 9:30 p.m. Thursday. FOX 4 spoke to a Higginsville fire dispatcher Friday morning, who told  us firefighters were called back to the scene at about 5:00 a.m. on Friday to monitor hot spots.
