KANSAS CITY, Mo. ---
1. FROZEN (PG)
Hans Christian Anderson’s fairy tale “The Snow Queen” gets the Disney treatment in "Frozen,” a zippy and engaging computer animated 3-D musical fantasy.
People love "Frozen" and I get why. It's fun. Lovable. And has some really cool songs. How can you hate?
Eye-popping, funny and beautifully rendered, "Frozen" is a warm-hearted treat that should appeal to the whole family.
Great extras including the original theatrical short "Get A Horse," "Let It Go" music videos by various artists including Demi Lovato, "Breaking The Ice - The Real Making Of Frozen" and much more.

2. AMERICAN HUSTLE (R)
Columbia Pictures (Sony)
"American Hustle" is an extremely clever and funny con movie with a great cast based loosely on the Abscam scandal of the 1970s. It's decadent, but it's also smart and devilishly entertaining.
"American Hustle" is all costumes, hair and make-up. Very little drama and often confusing with a pay off that fizzles. One of the most overratted movies of 2013. And it's not a comedy. There is a reason "American Hustle" went 0 for 10 at the Oscars. It isn't very good. Extras include The Making of "American Hustle" featurette and 20-plus minutes of deleted & extended scenes.

3. MANDELA: LONG WALK TO FREEDOM (PG-13)
The Weinstein Company
"Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom" shares the same problem as last year’s Steve Jobs biography. It isn’t as dynamic and important as its subject. It’s a respectable, workmanlike, but routine drama boosted by a strong lead performance by Idris Elba.
Yes, "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom" could have been more powerful. Still it's an important movie about an incredible man superbly brought to life by Idris Elba.
While earnest, the film reduces Mandela's life to a bland series of incidents instead of the gripping and inspirational film it should have been.
Yes, true points. Actually I thought Naomie Harris as Winnie Mandela was the best part of the movie. She's dynamic. Extras include Mandela: The Leader You Know, The Man You Didn’t,
Additional Behind-The-Scenes Featurettes and a Tribute Video Gallery.
