DNA links Kansas City man to 15-year-old girl’s rape
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Prosecutors said DNA has linked a 52-year-old Kansas City man to the rape of a 15-year-old girl.
Keith E. Walker, 52, faces two counts of forcible rape, four counts of forcible sodomy and one count of second-degree child molestation.
According to court records, the girl was waiting for a bus near 35th and Prospect Avenue when Walker forced her to get into his truck. The girl said Walker threatened her with a handgun and raped and sodomized her until she escaped near 59th and Swope Parkway where she ran into a home.
Evidence collected from the victim and was tested for DNA, and according the Kansas City Crime Laboratory, linked Walker to the crime.
Prosecutors have requested a bond of $500,000.
