KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The second Tuesday in April marks the day when Kansas City, Mo. turns on its 48 public fountains.

Each year, city leaders along with the Park and Rec. Dept. invite the community to join in the celebration.

The City of Fountains Foundation has registered 200 fountains in the metropolitan area.  This does not include the numerous fountains at corporation and sub-division entrances, office atriums, private gardens and homes.
