Chiefs sign sixth-round pick OL Laurent Duvernay-Tardif

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Taken with the club’s second selection in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs announced on Wednesday that offensive lineman Laurent Duvernay-Tardif has agreed to terms with the club.

Duvernay-Tardif started in 29 of 32 games played for McGill University, which is in Montreal, Quebec. He originally played on the defensive line before moving to offensive tackle and is only the second player from McGill to be drafted into the NFL.

Duvernay-Tardif was a two-time All-Canadian tackle and is currently in his third year of medical school at McGill. The terms of his contract were not released by the Chiefs.
