Waldo Hopfest Craft Beer Festival to kick off this weekend

The Hopfest Craft Beer Festival will kick off this Saturday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Over 40 craft breweries and 250 plus craft beers from all over Kansas City, Belgium and beyond will be available.

The event will beheld in a tented beer garden in the parking lot one block east of The Well, located in Waldo at 210 West. 74th Street in Kansas City, Mo.

Brewery and distributor reps will be on site to answer questions and entertain with stories about the beer. New Features this year include six different Food Trucks and Kansas City’s Home Brew of the year award.  Patrons will also be able to take pictures with the MLS cup Phillip F. Anschutz trophy from Sporting KC’s 2013 championship run.

On Thursday’s Morning Show, Jeremy Danner, ambassador brewer for Boulevard Brewing Company and George Clarke, general manager for Lew’s Grill and Bar spoke about the festival.
