Chance to watch a rare corpse flower as it blooms

WINFIELD, Kan. — If you’ve ever wanted to see a corpse flower bloom without smelling it, here’s your chance.

Winfield, Kansas is making it happen. Southwestern College in Winfield has a corpse flower, also known as amorphophallus titanum, ready to bloom in the next few days.

It’s the flower that smells like rotten meat, but blooms are rare. So the college has set up a webcam for people to watch the event remotely.
