Truck crashes into sign support, catches fire just before KC rush hour

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- At I-435 and Holmes Monday afternoon, a dump truck hit a sign support and caught fire.

FOX 4 was on the scene and will have more as new information is available.  The crash caused a backup in traffic at 4 p.m.,  but there was no immediate report of injuries.

    Saw this a few minutes after the wreck, I believe there was another wreck involving two sedans that seemed to happen prior to the truck crashing, or maybe right after. Hope everyone is okay.

    Typical dump truck driver/companies, always in a hurry cause they get paid by the load, tail gaters, unsafe equipment, overweight, forced dispatch, and going as fast as they can. SMH, just stay away from them and let them go cause you can see what happens.
