KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- It has been 33 years since the skywalk collapsed during a crowded tea dance at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

FOX 4 Photojournalist Jon Haiduk shares the story of a Leonard Rose, who was there and is unable to forget the wonderful evening that turned so tragic. Watch Rose's reflections in the player above.

Flawed engineering was ultimately determined to have caused the collapse, which killed 114 people and injured 216 others.
