Andy Reid takes ‘ice bucket challenge,’ expresses appreciation to St. Joe
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — After opening their 2014 training camp on the campus of Missouri Western University more than three weeks ago, the Kansas City Chiefs wrapped up their practices on Thursday. They’re now preparing to continue workouts at their headquarters near Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
The Chiefs 5-year contract with Missouri Western is now over, and it’s unclear if the team will return next season.
“We finished up practice today and we appreciate the people here in St. Joe, they have been great”, said Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid. “The University here has been phenomenal and they take care of us like no other.”
Reid also thanked members of the military’s First Infantry visiting from Ft. Riley, Kansas. He also took the ‘ice bucket challenge’ at the end of practice.
The Chiefs play their second preseason game on Sunday night in Charlotte against the Carolina Panthers. The game can be seen on FOX 4.
