LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Every year Americans eat 33 million tons of shellfish, but 90 percent of it is imported from Canada. Now, a connected seafood farm hopes to change that.

Catalina Sea Ranch is the first offshore shellfish farm in the United States. The company is hoping a mix of cutting edge technology and a tasty product could mean big business.
