Family says James Foley had fellow hostage memorize letter for him

The family of James Foley, the American journalist recently beheaded by Islamic State militants in Syria, released a letter they say was memorized by another hostage held in captivity with Foley.

The family posted the letter to Facebook, explaining that Foley asked a fellow hostage who was to be released to memorize the letter after other letters he had written were confiscated by militants. The letter follows below. Click “more” to read it in its entirety.
