Forget building castles out of sand. A Minnesota man is making his out of concrete using a 3-D printer.

Andrey Rudenko is a contractor who has a passion for computers and architecture. He said he is captivated by 3-D printers. He designed and built his own. It “prints” out layers of concrete that he designs on his computer.

“I just got an idea about how I can use it to print houses,” Rudenko said. “It’s not just someday, I can print a house in like a couple months.”

He’s already built a castle. Now he’s planning to scale up the size and build something he can live in.
