Police investigate after man found dead in front yard

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating after a man was found dead in the front yard of a home in the 5600 block of East 16th Terrace in Kansas City, Mo.

A person living in the home called police around 11:15 Sunday night to report a man was lying in their yard. When emergency responders arrived they determined the man was dead, possibly from a gunshot wound to the head. Police said the victim is a white man in his 50s. Police said it’s unclear how the man ended up in the front yard of the home.

Police are uncertain how long the man had been there or if he had any connection to the neighborhood.
