Before The Conjuring, there was Annabelle.

The vintage doll returns to scare audiences once again.

In 1967, Annabelle is a gift from husband, John,  to his pregnant wife, Mia. But when she begins to believe the doll is tied to terrifying supernatural occurrences in their home, she asks him to throw it away.

It keeps reappearing and they soon discover the doll was connected to a satanic cult and that demons want their child's soul.

FOX 4's Shawn Edwards sat down with Alfre Woodard, who doesn't especially find terror good entertainment, but knows many will.

She plays Evelyn, the owner of a bookstore, who helps Mia Gordon find a book about the demonic presence that wants her daughter's soul.
