Video: Customer punches shoe clerk in face

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Surveillance video captured an assault at a shoe store in San Luis Obispo, Calif. A homeless man, identified by police as Justin Edmond Pard, punched a female store clerk in the face and yelled profanities at her before fleeing the store. Video of the assault can be viewed below.

About 45 minutes after the assault an alert owner of a neighboring business spotted Pard sitting at Barnes and Noble. Police were notified and arrested him.

When police searched Pard, they discovered a 10-inch fixed-blade kitchen knife concealed in the front pocket of his sweatshirt.

Prosecutors charged Pard with assault and carrying  a concealed weapon. His bond was set at $2,000.
