One killed, one injured in KCMO shooting

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Officers are investigating a homicide following a fatal shooting Tuesday night. A KCPD spokesman says that police were called to Truman Medical Center at about 10 p.m. where a Hispanic man approximately 20 years old was declared dead, and another shooting victim was in serious condition.

Both arrived to the hospital in a private car. Police believe the victims were sitting inside the car while it was parked near 12th and Highland when they were shot.

Few details have been released, police believe the suspect is a black man who was wearing a brown coat when he fired the shots. Anyone with information that will help police arrest the suspect is urged to call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
