NORFOLK, Va. (WTKR) -- Viewers are taking action for a homeless man who is looking for a family for Thanksgiving. FOX 4 sister station WTKR received dozens of emails from viewers volunteering to adopt him for the day and more. Other viewers contacted the station about helping Neal Shytles out.

Neal has been living at the union mission in Norfolk for more a year. He reached out to WTKR to help connect him with someone that would take him in.

Thursday night, WTKR reports that Neal is in for a very happy Thanksgiving.

"I really appreciate, you know, you and WTKR because none of this would've happened. You know, and I'm really thankful and it's going to really mean a lot at Thanksgiving," said Neal.

Friday on WTKR's newscast at 11, you can hear more from Neal and the Peninsula family who will be having dinner with him.
