ROELAND PARK, Kan. — For the second time in two weeks criminals have taken aim at a local Walgreens ATM.

This time the ATM was stolen from a store in Roeland Park. Police say one or more burglars hit the store near 50th Terrace and Roe, sometime between midnight and 4:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

They pried open a door and dragged out the ATM using a chain.

Ppolice say the thieves took off with the machine in a white van. Officers are now looking over surveillance video of the burglary, hoping it will give them clues in the case.

Just last week an attempted ATM theft in Overland Park set off a massive police search. Thieves tried to steal a machine from another Walgreens near 126th and Pflumm.

An officer spotted their van, so they ditched it and ran. Police eventually took one person in for questioning, but later released him.
