KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The mother of a man who was murdered in October is still seeking justice for her son.

Dionte Green, 22, was found dead in a car that was still running in October. Police found him shot to death near 69th and Bellefontaine, and his killer remains at-large.

Coshelle Green, the victim's mother, said she thinks her son is the victim of a hate crime. She told FOX 4 her son was openly gay and actively involved in the city's gay community, and she thinks that's why he was killed.

"Who are you to give the right to take something that God gave me, who are you?" Coshelle asked. "So what, you didn't agree with his lifestyle? That wasn't your call to take a human being"

Police are still trying to find the person or people responsible for Green's death. If you have information that can aid in the investigation call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
