Fire at KC nursing home forces residents briefly into cold

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Firefighters evacuated a nursing home Tuesday morning at 80th and Holmes because of reports of a fire.

Residents of the home at 80th and Holmes were evacuated and a city bus was brought in so the residents would have a warm place to wait.

All residents were allowed back inside after about 20 minutes.
