KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- An arrest was made Tuesday in the murder of a man found shot and killed in his Northland home back in November of 2012. The suspect is his wife.

Clay County prosecutors charged Viola Bowman, 53, with first-degree murder and armed criminal action for the shooting death of her husband, Albert "Rusty" Bowman.

Police told FOX 4 back in 2012 that Viola had called them the night of November 7, telling them she'd come home and found her husband dead. Police gathered evidence at the house at Munger and Spokane for nearly 17 hours.

Her bond has been set at $1 million, she's currently behind bars in the Benton County Jail.
