GREAT BASIN NATIONAL PARK, Nev. -- A relic of the Old West has mysteriously appeared in the middle of nowhere.
The 132-year-old Winchester rifle was found propped up against a tree in the desert of Nevada.
Experts say it's clear the rifle sat there unnoticed for perhaps more than a century, because of all the rust and erosion.
The Cody West Firearms Museum determined the gun was made in 1882.
It was found by Great Basin National Park workers in November and will now become part of a display commemorating the park's 30th anniversary next year.
