Delta cancelled at least eight flights to and from New York

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Flights to and from the Northeast region have been cancelled due to a serve weather alert.

At least eight Delta flights to and from New York were cancelled Monday as cities in the northeast prepare for a record-breaking snow storm.

The National Weather Service issued a blizzard warning for a 250 mile stretch from Maryland to Maine.

New York's biggest snow storm was in 2006 with 26. 9 inches.
