CHARLES, Mo. (AP) — St. Charles Police say a man remains hospitalized after being shot several times following an altercation at a Chuck E. Cheese’s pizzeria.

Police spokesman Erik Lawrenz tells the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that police were called to the business located just south of Interstate 70 at 8:24 p.m. Monday. No further details were released.

Sixteen-year-old Lexie Stratton says she was working at the pizzeria when the shooting happened with dozens of people inside. She says an argument preceded the shooting and the shooter fired from inside at the victim, who was standing just inside the front door.

Stratton says “everyone was “running and screaming.”

Two weeks ago, a woman was attacked by another woman with a knife at a Chuck E. Cheese’s in south St. Louis County.
