Final detonation of the Fairfax Bridge

RIVERSIDE, Mo. — Crews detonated the final portion of the Fairfax Bridge Thursday morning.

Crews began the third phase of the demolition at 11 a.m. They detonated the northern part from the north bank to the Missouri levee.

Due to the demolition, 69 highway closed from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Alternate routes include highway I-635 to 9 highway to southbound 169 highway and  I-635 to K-5 eastbound to 69 highway.
