Teenage bicyclist seriously injured in Grain Valley car collision
GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. — A 14-year-old boy attempting to cross U.S. Highway 40 near Kirby Road was hurt after being hit by a car on Monday. Police say the collision happened around 5 p.m. and the teenager was taken to a hospital with serious injuries by the Central Jackson County Fire Department.
The investigation is ongoing and a release from Grain Valley states the victim’s family has been notified. The condition of the driver wasn’t reported, and it’s currently unknown if they are cooperating with the investigation or face arrest.
