White House lockdown ends after threat of suspicious package

WASHINGTON -- Officials lifted a lockdown at the White House Tuesday morning after a suspicious package found unattended across the street was inspected by the bomb squad according to FOX News.

The package was discovered in Lafayette Square, which is across the street from the White House. The White House went on lockdown for about an hour following the discovery of the package according to FOX News.

FOX News reported that police released a statement that said "no hazardous materials were found."
