Silver alert issued for man with dementia last seen in Independence, Mo.

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — Police are asking the public to keep an eye out for a missing man who suffers from dementia. A silver alert was issued for 69-year-old Tommie E. Richardson on Friday, he was last seen walking away from a residence in the 100 block of East Southside Boulevard at about 10 a.m.

Richardson is a white man who is 5 feet and 9 inches tall and weighs 155 pounds. He has gray hair, and both a pony tail and long beard. He also has hazel eyes and wears glasses, and was wearing a black leather hat, green and gray fleece jacket and blue jeans when he was last seen.

Anyone who sees Richardson is urged to call 911 or the Independence Police Department at (816) 836-3600.
