Reward increases for arrest of KC man’s killer

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The reward for an unsolved homicide from December 2014 has increased to $5,000.

The victim is Nicholas Preuitt, 27, who was found shot at about 2:50 a.m. on December 28 near 13th and Grand in the Power and Light District. Witnesses say they saw Preuitt and another man arguing prior to the shooting.

Police originally said the suspect in Preuitt’s shooting was a black male with long braids. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816.474.TIPS. A dark-colored SUV was possibly involved in the incident.
