CORONADO, Calif. — A photographer in California is searching for a couple whose special moment he accidentally caught on camera.

Photographer Dan McGeorge was taking a photo of a rainbow over Hotel Del Coronado when he caught the couple’s engagement on camera.

According to the photographer’s Facebook page, the couple asked him to snap a quick a photo of them with their camera as they explained they had just gotten engaged.

“He had a camera in his hands, and he said, ‘we just got engaged, would you take our picture for us,’” McGeorge told FOX 5. “The ones I took were close ups, just one, two, three, smile. I didn’t have any clue until I zoomed in later that that was them.”

McGeorge said he took a picture of the couple but didn’t realize the photo he had taken moments before captured such a precious moment.

The photographer said he didn’t discover the couple in the photo until he was editing.

“There to my surprise was this couple, and they were clasping their hands – looking at each other and I knew I had captured them right in the moment of their proposal,” McGeorge told FOX 5.

Now the photographer said he wants to find the newly engaged couple so he can give them a photo that captures a moment they will never forget.
