KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A  water main break has the potential to cause slick driving conditions for drivers late Thursday morning.20150212_110111

Just after 10 a.m. a water main broke near 80th and North Oak was causing water to cover the road.

The water main is located in front of the White Oak Commercial Center.

Businesses and restaurants in the area said they have not been effected by the break. The city's water crew was in the processing of turning the water off, so that could change in the near future.

Salt trucks have been traveling through the area to help prevent the roads from becoming too slick.
