House on fire in KCMO began as disturbance call to police

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Authorities were called out to a disturbance at a home at East 12th Street and Oakley Avenue Monday morning.

When police arrived, they knocked on the door of a home and a man came running out. Fire crews were called upon to put out a fire at the home, where smoke was showing.
