LEAWOOD, Kan. -- A group of moms wanted to give a special thank you to a swimming teacher at the Jewish Community Centers.

Mary Wilbern O'Neal helps teach children with special needs around the community life saving swimming skills.

Holly Palacio and Laura Kozisek said both of their sons have benefited from O'Neal's extreme generosity.

The moms said O'Neal has created a scholarship program for kids who cannot swim so they have the opportunity to learn.

According to the mothers, O'Neal takes money out of her own pocket to help pay for swimming lessons for the children.

FOX 4 had the opportunity to help surprise O'Neal with the special gift the mothers presented her with.
