Nicholas Andrew Srader faces charges in a Dec. 31st accident on I-435.

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. —  Police arrested and charged a 31-year-old man who they say left the scene of a crash on Wednesday, Dec. 31 while the other car rolled and its driver was ejected along I-435.

The accident occurred in the westbound lanes of I-435 Highway between Nall and Lamar at approximately 2:12 pm.

Nicholas A. Srader is accused of “intentionally and feloniously” failing to stop at the scene of the accident to provide his driving and insurance information and to give reasonable assistance to an injured person.

He faces a second charge in Johnson County for “making false information” associated with statements he reportedly made on February 27.

Overland Park Police had requested the public’s help in finding the driver and suspect vehicle, which was described as dark in color and should have damage along the passenger side.  This car was last seen heading westbound on I-435.

The victim’s vehicle, a silver Mitsubishi Eclipse, struck a retaining wall causing it to roll several times. The driver of that vehicle was ejected but is expected to survive her injuries.
