Local teen writes book to determine greatest NBA player

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- 19-year-old Kansas City native Johnny Carver is a freshman at the University of Ark. Carver graduated from Olathe Northwest High School last year, but prior to graduating, Carver wrote a book.

"Ranketology: A New Way of Determining Basketball's Greatest Player," is a book based on a statistical algorithm that he created to determine the greatest player in the history of the NBA.

Carver played basketball until a disorder made him stop. His father and brother both played division 1 basketball.
