Police investigate report of shooting at New Orleans airport

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Police say they are investigating a shooting at a security checkpoint in a terminal of the New Orleans international airport.

Col. John Fortunato said Friday authorities are en route to the scene and could provide no other details, including whether anyone was injured.

Airport spokeswoman Michelle Wilcut says the shooting happened at a security checkpoint at Concourse B. She says the site has been secured.

Wilcut also said authorities have shut down Concourse B, but the rest of the airport remains open.
