KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Police are trying to track down two suspects who they say were involved in an aggravated burglary and sexual assault on March 5. Police said it happened on Barnett Avenue in KCK.

“I was upset and I felt defenseless and powerless that I couldn’t do anything,” the victim, who doesn’t want to be identified, told FOX 4. “I don’t feel safe when I go out in the streets and when I do go out I feel that everybody out there is a bad person.”

Police said the two suspects showed up at the home posing as bail bondsmen agents. The victim said the suspects knocked on her door and said they were looking for somebody. When she explained that person didn’t live there she said they held her husband at gunpoint in the front yard and then raped her inside the home with her five children in the next room.

Police said the suspects are both in their 30’s. They said one is white and the other is black. The victim told police the two men left the scene in a light blue or grey Chevrolet Suburban or GMC Yukon. Police said the white suspect has blonde hair, blue eyes and a colorful tattoo on his neck that extends to his chest. They said he was wearing a shirt that said “bail bonds” on the back, a badge that said “detective” and a KU hat.

Police said the black man had black hair and brown eyes. They said his hair was shoulder length and either curly or braided. They said he was wearing jeans and a black jacket.
