Overland Park hosts career expo

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Overland Park Convention Center is hosting its first career expo of the year.

The career expo is hosted by Job News KC, First Student, Focus Workforce, and Grandstand Glassware and Apparel.

The expo is the first major career expo of 2015 for Overland Park.

Employers will be present to screen applicants at the expo. They will be looking to fill more than 1,000 positions.

The expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Overland Park Convention Center, 6000 College Blvd.

Employers will be looking for people to fill various roles such as sales, customer service, management, hospitality, assembly, production, information technology, skilled trade positions, administrative, healthcare, green jobs, warehouse positions and more.
