KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Heavy rains caused areas across the metro to flood.

Various roadways remained covered with water and is expected to make the morning commute into work Monday a little tricky.

Areas such as 59th and Ward Parkway were covered with at least five inches of water.

The water  caused one car to stall at Elmwood and Emanuel Cleaver. Tow trucks had to remove the vehicle.

Snow  plow trucks were also working to plow water off of roads.

Crews were also working to clear northbound 169 Highway at the Broadway Bridge.
