LIBERTY, Mo. — A Silver Alert was canceled for a Liberty woman after she was found safe.

The Liberty Police Department issued the endangered silver advisory for 86-year-old Joan K. Kurek on Tuesday night. Someone said they spoke with her at about 9 p.m. on Monday night, and she hasn’t been heard from since.

Kurek suffers from dementia and a heart condition, and is without her medicine. She went missing from an address in the 700 block of N. Fairview Drive in Liberty. She’s a white woman who is 5’1″ and weighs 145 pounds. She has light brown hair and blue eyes. A news release did not indicate what she is wearing.

She may be driving a white 1995 Ford Taurus with Missouri license plates: ME5-Y0X, but authorities don’t know where she was going.
