KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Firefighters were working to put out flames at a home in KCMO early Friday morning.

Firefighters responded to the home near 57th and College just after 6:30 a.m.

Firefighters said they initially thought a woman who used a wheelchair to get around was in the home so they worked quickly to put out the flames.  Firefighters eventually determined that no one was in the home and no injuries have been reported.

According to the fire chief, the fire caused extensive damage to the home. Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the fire.
