KC elementary school evacuated over concern about chemical

KANSAS CITY, Mo. —  Powdered cleaner, mixed with bleach, created a strong chemical odor at Crispus Attucks Elementary School at 24th and Prospect Friday afternoon, forcing the evacuation of the school.

The emergency call came in at about 2:15 p.m. Friday and firefighters worked quickly to dilute the chemical combination with water.
