Car crashes into home, causes gas leak

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Missouri Gas and Energy  is on the scene of a possible gas leak Thursday morning.

FOX 4's Kathy Quinn reports that a car was pushed into a home near 60th and Walrond. Police said someone hit the vehicle in the driveway and pushed it into the home. . A witness saw another car take off very high rate of speed from the scene shortly after it crashed into the car in the driveway.

Missouri Gas and Energy crews have been on the scene working to repair the damage done to a natural gas line outside of the home just after 2:30 a.m.

The couple that lives in the home was asked to leave while Missouri Gas and Energy crews work on the gas leak.

No one was injured in the accident.

There was damage to the home, but an estimate of the damage has not yet been released.
