Death of Lake Lafayette woman ruled accidental

LEXINGTON, Mo. — The death of a woman from Lake Lafayette has been ruled as an accident according to the Jackson County Medical Examiner.

Police said they responded to the intersection of Lakeview North and Lakeview Drive at Lake Lafayette Monday morning after hearing reports that a person was lying near the road.

Angela Marie Draper, 42, was found dead when police arrived. Draper died of a heart attack according to the medical examiner.


Police said Draper is from Lake Lafayette. According to police she was reported missing Sunday night. Police said they interviewed several people.

According to the preliminary autopsy, there were no signs of foul play and her death is being ruled as accidental.
