FBI investigating U.S. Bank branch robbery at 63rd and Troost

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The FBI reported a bank robbery on Thursday afternoon at a U.S. Bank branch located at 6300 Troost Avenue. The agency says the robbery happened at about 2:40 p.m.

The suspect gave a note and made a verbal demand for money. He gestured towards his waist, but never showed a weapon. The FBI describes him as a black man in his early 20's between 5'0" and 5'5" with a slim build. He was wearing a red fisherman's hat and a red jacket.
