Man charged in connection with shooting death of Mo. college student

Hazelwood, MO (KMOV) — Police said they have arrested a suspect in connection with the death of Taylor S. Clark.

Michael Gordon, 24, has been charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action.

Authorities said Clark posted his car for sale on Craigslist. Gordon and Clark exchanged emails and agreed to meet Monday. Police said the two met in the parking lot of MTC Trucking Center in 1200 block of Missouri Bottom Road in Hazelwood; Gordon is an employee of the trucking company.

Police said Clark was shot shortly after the two met during Gordon’s lunch break. Authorities said Gordon then tried to hide Clark’s body in a nearby wooded area before he returned to work.

Police later found Clark’s car in the trucking company parking lot and found his body nearby.

Authorities said they are still searching for Gordon’s car, a maroon 1990 BMW 325i with Missouri License Plate FL3Z9K.
